Time For a New Face

Clock makeover 101.  Fork over a quarter or two for a boring clock at a garage sale.  So boring you'd rather go out and watch the corn grow than look at it.  Disassemble it.  Or have your spouse do it if you aren't smarter than the clock.

Dig some cool scrapbook paper out of your stash.  You do have a stash, right?
Trace the clock face on the paper and cut it out.  Use some kind of adhesive (double sided tape works good) to atatch the paper to the front of the face.
Add some numbers and have spouse put clock back together.  Use a stencil or something for your numbers, unless your handwriting is better than mine.  Mine stinks.  I didn't have a stencil or stickers - might wanna plug your nose!  Oh and I forgot - paint the frame!  Please don't leave it, paint it whatever color you want, just don't leave it as is, kay?  Or maybe you can and still make it look cool.  Do your own clock makeover, send me a pic,  and have a good time.....

  1. I just bought a $3 plastic clock at Walmart to do something like this for my son. So glad I saw this - love what you did. It turned out great!
