DIY Ruffle scarf from the dollar store

It was New Year's Eve.  Everyone had already left my parent's house, with the exception on one die hard.  Twenty minutes until the clock struck 12:00... And I was leaving for home the next day.  I never got around to the ruffle scarf project!  Quick!  We have 20 minutes to get it done in the year 2011!!!  My sidekick and fellow new-year-ringer-inner, Rebekah, was there for moral (and other) support.

Using two scarves my mom bought at the Dollar Tree, we made this beautiful ruffle scarf!!!  Here's the hopefully understandable tutorial:

And there you have it!  Possibly the easiest little project you can do to add some flare to your wardrobe!!  Since I left it with my mom....  I really need to head to the dollar store and make some for me!!
"She said hello, dressed in yellow...."   Ain't she a pretty thang??
Thanks for burning the midnight oil with me, Becca Sue!!! :):):)

  1. I've done that recently! It's so fun! usually I change the tension and stitch length on my machine to the highest, stitch that way so it ruffles it up, then do another stitch along the same lines with the machine at the regular stitch settings. I guess it's a few more extra steps in that case.
