Shabby Silverware/Napkin Keeper

Every time we have a buffet line for large gatherings or company over or whatever, I never have napkins  that are easily excessable, I hate setting silverware around each plate and I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE OF THESE HANDY DANDY ALL-IN-ONE old school holders to redo!
Well lo and behold, good things come to those who wait it out.  You always eventually find what you're looking for in a thrift shop or a garage sale.  I live by that rule.  It was more than I'd normally pay at $2, but hey.  I'd really been wanting one.

It's actually a super light sky bluish color, the pic just make sit look white.  It ain't, I tell ya.  I spray painted the inside since I didn't want the hassle of trying to squiggle and wiggle a paint brush inside there.  Then sanded the edges, stenciled my letters on, and called it good.  Took probably a whole 15 minutes of my time.
And just another project I finished today:

This sign was custom made for an expectant mother who has pink and peach as her nursery accents.  I used leftover particleboard siding from the cabin.

And I can't leave without a shout-out to one of the most fabulous and - here comes the keyword - AFFORDABLE baby boutiques on the web!!  Check out some of the new darling items at Willow Children's Boutique.  I'm in love with these to-die-for lace rompers!!!
