Shabby Stenciled Chair

This chair has been sitting on my front porch for at least a couple of months waiting for someone to pick it up that never did.  So today I happened to have aqua paint on my brush... and I decided the buyer was  never coming for that old chair and I was going to paint it cute!
It started out with a twin.  My memory totally fails me.  Can't remember who the other one ran off with.  Picked them up for a couple bucks at a garage sale.

Then it hung from a nail for maybe a year or two, surveying all the paint projects going on underneath it.
See it up there? It's surrounded by some real beauties, wouldn't you say?
So after a coat of aqua, I whipped out the stencil that I'm afraid is becoming my trademark and put a dark gray lotus on it.

Then just roughed it up with a little sandpaper and bam.  Beautiful. :)

And if you you're like me and you love yourself some shabby goodness, then it is SO time to check out my sponsor Huckleberry Vintage.  Here are some of my faves in her shop right now:

  7. I love your "trademark" flower. I was hoping to see where to get one. But it's your original design, that's awesome; true talent.
