Chair Springs On The Table

Ever since I saw and pinned this idea from Restyled Junk.....

I've wanted to try it!!!

I commented on her post way back in the summer of '13 that I had pinned her post and also had both the springs and insulators on hand.  SO... when I was looking for something pretty to put on my table for my dining room chair makeover reveal, my mind went to Restyled Junk!

I had this awful chair that I got free with a bunch of stuff one day.
Actually, it was quite a cute chair in it's day.  But it had far too many mice and scariness to be able to salvage it and so I decided to toss it on the burn pile.  So before I threw it on the flames, I salvaged all the springs from the seat.  Since I had a hard time getting my insulators to sit nicely inside the bed springs, these hourglass shaped springs from the chair worked just perfectly and didn't look like the leaning tower of Pisa.

See the dining room chair makeover reveal and how I transferred the images using freezer paper onto the seats HERE.

  2. Those are really cute! I bet tearing apart that chair was a lot of work but truly worth it!
