Crib Spring Message Board

You can repurpose just about anything.

I'm sure this is not a new concept, but it is sure a great one - if I do say so myself!

I needed a message board.  I had a huge frame all set aside to paint and put jute twine across.
Then I was unpacking more boxes and junk in my upstairs when I came upon the springs to the baby crib.  I was trying to decide if I should march it out to the barn or put it in the closet to hang my scarves on (which I did at our old house but it snagged them easily - not the best idea).

Then it hit me - the perfect message board!  I quickly secured it to the wall, got out my old clothes pins, and wa la.  My important dates, wedding invites, and spelling lists are all in one spot.

My life is slowly getting organized. :)

If you've had the sad experience of a baby outgrowing their crib...  did you repurpose any part of it?

  8. I got one of these from someone who was moving so it was on the free pile. Used it initially to hang "memory photos" for a wedding I coordinated. Get the mini clothespins at Walmart. About $2 for 20. Thinking about using it as a bulletin board next!

    1. Hi Karey! If you look closely at the top corners, there's an open triangle. I just plopped a big nail (spike) in each of those openings to rest it on. Hope that makes sense!
