The Do-It-Yourself Christmas Touches Around Our Home

I'm not one of those crazy Christmas people that goes all out with decor.  No... I'm one of those that loves to see when others do it but I'm like "eh, I gotta put it all away again in how many weeks?!!"

But I'm not a scrooge, I'm actually quite merry, so.....

A few pictures of Christmas around our home!

This little reclaimed wood Christmas tree is tongue and groove boards pulled out off of the corn crib outside.  The star at the top is an antique broach.  The snow flake at the bottom is only there because my letters ended up not centered!  Keepin' it real. :)

Even though this home has three fireplaces, we hung the stockings on the stairs this year.  My five year old is pretty sure Santa will never find them.

These stockings I made several years ago from an old grain sack that a lady from a local farm here gave me once.  They have some old stains on them, and a few holes, but I love them!

My gold peacock ornament I picked up on clearance after Christmas last year and nailed it on to this piece of reclaimed wood with "Country Christmas" stenciled on in red.

And this is one of my favorites!  Black ice skates hanging on a chippy old board from off or our house and a cute little chevron burlap bow.

And a little outside:

Some year I'm going to have to hire someone to wrap our pillars in lights because I can't seem to convince the hubby to get on board with that!!

Hope you enjoyed the little Christmas photo tour!
Thanks for stopping by!
