Retro Nighstand

Happy Monday!!!
I don't know why most people hate Mondays.  I generally LOVE them!
I'm sure it mostly has to do with the fact that I don't have a traditional nine to five job. :)

It's a fresh start to a new week...
just like this little nightstand was a fresh start to a new paint job.

I picked this up at a friend's garage sale just down the road for a few dollars.  I loved that it was in nearly perfect shape. That doesn't seem to happen often!  So all it needed was a fun little paint job!

I had a very small amount of aqua blue paint left at the bottom of this paint can and am trying to thin down my massive stash.  I absolutely loved the color contrast with this wood!
I used frog painters tape to make nice crisp lines to a carefully measured drawer center.

I didn't even change up the hardware like I sometimes too.  I just love the whole retro feel of this drawer pull, paint design, and honey wood color.  Who's with me?

  1. I love the paint job you've given this side table. The diamond shape definitely makes it a more interesting piece. Good choice of colour too!
