Patsy's Buffet {Before & After}

My friend is moving.  Downsizing.  That is usually really good news for Kammy's Korner. This buffet is a result of Martha's downsizing.  She got it from her mom, Patsy, and it turned into mudroom storage.  Hats, mittens, catfood.  Patsy was awesome.  The Lord called her home to Heaven several years ago, but I sure loved being with her and miss her.  When I moved to Michigan eighteen years ago, my mother in law and her would pick me up and we'd drive to Marshall and hit up the antique stores and of course, Louis's Bakery.  Fun times.

I hit up the top of this beast with my Ryobi sander and refinished the wood top.  I used "Restor-A-Finish" and sealed it with polyurethane.

I like a little surprise when you open up drawers/doors, and decided on my medallion stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils to greet you with a pretty "hello" upon opening!

I'm getting low baby low on my stash of drawer pulls and hardware, so thankfully I looooooved the hardware just the way it was on this.  That always makes me jovial.
(I may or may not have just googled in synonyms for "happy"....)

  2. Is polyurethane the one that yellows? What do you use to seal over paint, that doesn't taint it?
