Fancy Up Yer Tote Bag

You'd never know what was hiding under that massive fabric flower...........
That's right, a snowmobile!!
Now I am no seamstress by any stretch of the imagination, but I managed to sew a straight line, without getting the handles tangled up (score!, yes I do actually pat myself on the back for that), on the edge of the lace to go all the way around the top of the bag.  (I dug the lace  out of a huge shoe box of odds and ends of ribbon and such from my beloved mother dear.).
Sorry, but I am totally too tired for any tutorials tonight, but you can click HERE to see how to ruffle up a strip of fabric before coiling it around into a flower shape.  (Yes, it's a white flower on a dollar store stocking cap, but it's the same concept, yo).
Yeah, I didn't quite get the blue snow mobile and his shenanigans covered up, so I had to tuck an extra piece of fabric in.  Hey, better that than having everyone know the ugliness hiding under the beautiness, eh?

Until next time, Happy creating!!!!

  1. I love this! I work for a promotional products company so I have a ton of these ugly totes with random logo's on them- I have put a pocket of them a few times but this idea is so much cuter!
