Tank Top Flowers For Hats

I was minding my own business driving down the road one day when a garage sale jumped out in front of my car and made me stop.  It was the last day, so everything was 1/2 off.
 Which meant some
25 cent size large tank tops
that were way too big for me but... I liked the stripes!

Add a scizzors, hot glue gun and some hats I bought on clearance after winter last year and you get:

If you want a little tutorial on how to make the fabric rosettes,
I explained it on my duct tape boots (don't try that, by the way) post.
Then I also embellished a few headbands (ear warmers, whatever they're called) and I'm pretty annoyed with myself that I didn't get more of those.  I think I might resort to those this year instead of my usual hat-hair makers.  I sold the ones I made.  I figured the dollar store would be loaded with them, but I was wrong.  Hmph.

And I couldn't resist showing you this hat.  You'll never guess where I got the flower.
We had an anniversary celebration for a special couple at our church and these turquoise flowers were decor on the cake.  Can you believe they were going to toss the huge, beautiful flowers in the trash?!  You bet I laid claim to those babies!  Here's one on a hat with a vintage brown leather button in the middle.
