Shabby Harlequin Chair

I first spotted them at a garage sale for the right price of $1.
And that was for all of them, not just one!
(Now you know why I'm not easily impressed with your "steal of a deal".  Haha)

I painted them with my homemade chalk paint concoction, like I do most of my stuff, using a bit of turquoise, white, and and aqua paint leftovers.  Then I used my harlequin stencil on the top with a free sample of tan paint, sanded all the edges and topped it with polyacrylic.

I've been loving the "bow thang" so I cut off a piece of gray fabric and tied it into a bow, securing it by a dab of hot glue to hold the fabric in the middle together.

Hope you've found a little inspiration today.
Thanks for stopping in!

  5. How did you decide what to do with each chair, did they have a pre-determined destination in your home? The chairs are so cute, trying to decide which is my favorite, think the harlequin. Will be interesting to see which is the favorite. Happy 2013

  8. Great deal that you found! The chairs turned out great and I was interested to see you that use polyacrylic on chalk paint too as that is my preferred finish.
