Handsome Harlequin Desk

How about a major ole' before and after for ya tonight?!
Ben was feeling really generous one day with me at the Jackson Resale Factory (which is about to get real famous with their up coming TV show "Jackson Pickers" - woo hoo!) and gave me a great deal on this little desk.  Talk about a great empty slate to work with!!  That's what I'm talkin' about.
I painted it a super light gray, white knobs, and stenciled numbers on them.  Then sat back and wondered what else it needed.  Then Trinet came to hang out one day and commented on the desk in my craft room "I would never have thought to paint the green on the inside like that!"  Well, I hadn't really, it just happened like that from when I had to redo it.  You can see that desk HERE.  So anyway, that gave me the inspiration to do my stencil design on the INSIDE rather than big and bold on the outside.  I'm SO GLAD I bought that harlequin stencil at Hobby Lobby.  I have used it. And used it, and used it, and used it.

Now then, it's time for a shout-out to one of my sponsors - Kit and Caboodle!  This darling vintage lace pin is one of my favorites and is a great deal at just $5!  Check out her darling little store!  The baby hats would be perfect for that expecting mother due in the fall.  :)

  5. I love this creative stenciling on the inside as opposed to the outside. I might just use this idea myself on a future project!
