Since I often don't leave the house (I mean, gas costs a fortune, if I go I buy, toting three kids around isn't all it's cracked up to be, and hey, I love my place and there's never not something to do on the home front!), I often don't get great curbside finds. Well, not like Tami from Curb Alert anyway! It never ceases to amaze me what treasures that girl finds on the curb. So most of the stuff I haul off the curb is when I'm out driving to my lawns in the summer. I think most of you know that I mow lawns in the small town I live near. Love it! Which is a great time to find curb treasures because I'm in a pick up truck and have a little room to spare on my trailor! Such was the case when I came across this table. Yeah, almost didn't take it, it was so ugly... and scratched up plastic top? What, Kammy?! But I just can't let stuff that's nearly perfectly fine to get dumped in some landfill when it could have a new wonderful life! |
This is GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteWell shucks, aren't you sweet! **blush**
ReplyDeleteDon't sell yourself short, you have picked up some pretty awesome things and turned them into some gorgeous gems! Enjoy your time with your family. Happy Easter :)

ReplyDeleteHi Kammy!! I love this and I think it's a great curbside find!! (you did good ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh, how pretty! Rubbing the extra paint off to highlight the pattern really makes the whole piece shine. I would love to try something like this with shiny silver legs. Hm, I hear the paintable wallpaper at Lowe's calling my name...
ReplyDeleteI love it, repurposing is so great things are wasted too often. Thanks for sharing. Tricia @ {SeekingEco-Chic}

What a great transformation! I'm a "recycler" -- but would have had a hard time seeing the potential in the before -- but then I didn't know about the handy roll of paintable wallpaper! Wonderful idea. I would love it if you would consider linking to Busy Monday at A Pinch of Joy, a Sunday through Thursday link party for ideas that make life easier, better and more fun!
ReplyDeleteThat table came out great. I have been known to stop by the side of the road to pick up someones discarded item :) much to the embarrassment of who ever is with me :( I am your newest follower and would love it if you would follow me back http://necessaryinspiration.blogspot.com Thanks, Linda
