New Flooring Reveal {Master Bedroom}

I've always hated the Berber carpet in our bedroom.  It belongs in a basement. Or on stairs.  But the master bedroom??  Hubby just wouldn't part with it.  Even with kid puke stains and who-knows-the-origin stains.  And then.  THEN.  I got the noble idea to paint my curtains... and there was a tragic accident with the paint....  I promise I didn't do it on purpose!!

So hubby went on a search for a good deal.
And a good deal we got!!

(Lumber Liquidators, if you happen to be out there reading, please consider paying me a fee for the amazing advertising I'm giving you right now.  Thank you for your consideration.)

It was a whopping THIRTY NINE CENTS A SQUARE FOOT!!!!
Since it was so cheap, hubby wasn't giving me much option.  This is a super good deal and we're going with it, is what he told me.  I clicked over on the picture he sent me, convinced it was going to be some goldish toned planks that screamed CHEAP LAMINATE!!!  What a pleasant surprise when I saw it.  It's exactly what I would have picked, had price not been an option.  Oh, hallelujah!!
 We ordered it and also had to order the foam padding to go under it.  I think that might have cost more than the actual flooring!  So here's the scoop.  Is this a super high quality material?  Well, I don't have much to compare it with, but up against what we used on our main floor in our addition, no.  Hubby had to be very careful with the edges while he was "hooking" the planks together as it was soft and would break easily.  Once it is all put together though, obviously that is not a problem!  You just have to be use some caution while you're installing it.  Would I put this in a super high traffic area?  Probably wouldn't risk it.  But so far for our bedroom, it's been perfect and it's been down for about five months now.

On to the photo parade:

 Yes, that looks like a big honkin' mess on the back of my door, but it's reality and I do hang all my scarves on a plate rack.  Oh, and the bottom springs from a crib, which is leaning against the wall. :)  The first door on the left opens to my closet, and the door next to it opens to our bathroom.  The door all the way to the back with the scarves opens to the hallway.

 Close up of "Classy Click":

 Not exactly my dream rug, but my dream rug was so expensive I would have had to eat eggs for every meal for two years.  The hubby needed something super plush and comfy since that's where he does his crunches, push-ups and various other exercises to keep from getting that pot belly that I so despise on men (bless his heart) so we settled for neutral and very affordable, with a massive pile.

 He also complained about his feet hitting the cold floor in the morning,
 so I also got rugs for his little toesies to wake up to.

Has this room come a long way OR WHAT?!  And new flooring was about the only thing we bought!  Oh, and the white duvet, which I got at Target for around $80.  Pretty cheap room makeover, eh?

 Hope you enjoyed the tour of our master bedroom!
  See you tonight for the weekly Trash 2 Treasure Party!
