Tori's Shabby Little Chair

If you saw yesterday that my maniac mom and I ripped up the carpet in my little girl's bedroom and stenciled the floor, then you know we redid the whole room in two days!  I got the headboard made this morning and it turned out spectacularly better than I was expecting!
I've never done such a thing.
 But it was easy peasy.
Here's her little chair I quick did after supper tonight.
Just going to paint a sign for the wall yet and I should be able to shoot some photos for the reveal -
Yeah, Dawg!

Oh, and can I throw in, we never left the house?!  Which means... I used 100% of what I had on hand and
DIDN'T SPEND A PENNY!!!!

On the WHOLE ROOM!!!!

(but I guess we should probably buy a threshold yet... :))

And now I present to you, Tori's chair:

I have absolutely no recollection of where I got this chair.
I'm sure the idea when I picked it up was to paint it, but I just never got around to it.
Each of my boys used it,
and now it's Tori's turn.

I gave it two coats of my homemade chalk paint and then for the shabby chic effect, sanded some off on the edges.  It didn't want to sand off very easily though, and I sort of gave up!  I'm sure with the wear and tear it will receive from my hoodlums, it will distress itself in no time!

  1. Two days.... you and Laura are going to put me to shame when it takes what I am sure to be at least a month to help my daughter do her room.
