Rant, Rave, N' Rag Wreath On Wooden Frame

So I'm out pickin'.
And I won't go into the horrific details of what I came upon because all you upcyclers and repurposers and hoarders and wanna-bees and koala-bees might have terrible nightmares like I've had ever since the day.......
the day that I grabbed this old antique wooden ring that was probably smashed off of some beautiful priceless antique just minutes before and was being used to hold in and prevent from falling out said smashed up gorgeous, beautiful, ornate furniture while on the way to the incinerator.  BAHHHH.  I said more than I should have!  Quick!  Go wash that down with a cold beverage.  Or.  Maybe I just reread that run-on sentence and maybe just maybe you didn't understand a word of what I was saying and maybe you should trust me
when I tell you "THAT'S A GOOD THING".
Maybe.
 Phew.

So want to see what I did with this huge wooden circle?  Why, a rag wreath!  What else does Kammy do with any type of circular object?!

They really did look at me like I was a physcho for snatching this out of the back of their truck.  Well, likewise, I thought THEY were physcho (which OBVIOUSLY THEY WERE) for smashing to sm..... ummmm okay let's not go there againnnn.....................

There was zero expense in this fun little project.  I used two shades of off white fabric scraps I had on hand, the burlap came out of the stuffing of an old chair I took apart, and well of course, you just read about the wooden frame....  just a little hot glue for the burlap and it's a wrap!
  I mean wreath. :)

  1. Cute! I was going to save an old quilting hoop that the kids broke half of... I hope I didn't throw it away!
