Biblical Chest of Drawers

I Corthinians 15:58  states:
"...be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."  An excellent thing to be reminded of hourly, wouldn't you say?!
I bought it and used it as is, light blue and chippy, for a few years.  Then one day I had enough of my hubby using the poorly sliding drawers as an excuse not to put any of the babies clothes away so it got demoted to the barn.  I started redoing it, but got annoyed with how the paint was coming off and it has sat like it is pictured above for  the last four years outside in my shop, untouched.  Well, untouched by me, that is.  The mice made a cozy little nest in the third drawer!
My mom and I decided it was perfect for their little cabin and we cleaned it up.  I gave it a few coats of white chalk paint - homemade of course! - used a mistint tannish yellow to stencil a harlequin pattern on the sides, and the the mother bear (aka Grandma Kim pictured above in her gorgeous paint attire) stenciled those inspiring words first written by Paul the apostle.  I bought those stencils at Wal Mart by the way - Two sets of the alphabet plus punctuation marks, symbols and a few shapes for only $2 if I remember correctly!
When we finished, I was thinking without voicing that MAN that would sure look awesome  in my sitting area in the kitchen rather than that tea cart!  But it was for the cabin.  Then my mom voiced what I was thinking, and it was a done deal.  It would stay in my house.  To the barn with the tea cart!  Anyone want a freshly painted white tea cart?
I think i have another little dresser that will be able to go in the cabin.  If you need furniture, just come to me Chances are I've got it!  (Minus things that require upholstery above and beyond a seat cushion!).
An amazing opportunity for you to win a FREE Cutting Edge Stencil up to $50 value is up and live now on Kammy's Korner!  Click HERE to get entered!  Giveaway ends on November 28th.
