Piece of Junk $1 End Table Before and After

Pretty sure we have a rather drastic before and after here to share with you today!
So these were not just ugly, they were downright nasty.  I mean seriously?  This stuff just peeled right off!  Then the door busted off, since it isn't really wood, and was just pretty much saw dust all compressed together and held tight with ummmm that fake wood wallpaper wrapped around it...  So the door  was a goner.  Which was okay, cuz a basket looks great inside!  But it kind of left a little chunk missing where it had been screwed in.  But since this is no antique master piece, I didn't mess with, and just painted right over it.  Sorry, they just aren't worth putting that much effort in to!
Yes, there were even TWO of these beauties!!!  They were on $1, so you know me, can't pass that up no matter how crappy they are!  There is no way they can get any worse, so might as well make them better!
(You can see what I did with the other one HERE).
The color inside is the color that makes me most happy right now.  BAH.  I love it.
I topped it off with my cutting edge stencil, Bird On A Branch.  Man, I have gotten lots of use out of that stencil!  (Which I got free by entering one of their contests with my bathtub project!) :)

  3. LOL! OMG, I can't believe that paper peeled right off the table, Kammy! Holy cow ~ I would have been like, "What just happened?!?". Great solution though and I love that you just took the door off and can use a basket. Can't wait to see what you did with the other one.
