Annnnnnd that's a wrap on spring break.
With wonderful memories tucked inside my head and heart, photos to tell of our adventures, and life long friendships created, I'm already looking forward to our next trip down South! We spent time in the following states: Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and and mostly South Carolina. While in South Carolina we met up with an old friend, Ted Ficek, and his beautiful wife Rachel and two kids who we didn't previously know. Oh dear, you can't even imagine the kind of girl Rachel is. We were two peas in a pod - she loves junk as much as I do! Boy, if we would have had a few more days together, we could have done some serious damage! More on that another day.
TODAY,
I want to show you some of Ted and Rachel Ficek's awesome backyard. If they dream it, they do it!
Enjoy this photo tour of their South Carolina backyard.
Ted made this old barnwood table on-the-spot. |
Vintage lanterns hang over the table on a chain attached to the vine-covered pergola. |
This rusty old metal yard sofa looked perfectly at home in their charming yard! |
The back deck is hung with vintage lanterns that were lit up when us weary travelers pulled in after dark. Such a fun welcome! |
Another metal resting place. Of course, I want one of these now! |
Vintage glass bottle "garden". |
Awesome play area that Ted build for the kids. And now you know what you can do with those old tires! |
Wasn't that great?! I felt so inspired being there. :)
What was your favorite part of the Ficek's backyard?
If you liked the vintage-ness of their backyard, wait until you see INSIDE their home!
Check it out HERE.

Oh Kammy...how I wish I lived down south. I love the colors in all the pictures. It looks so relaxing. Nothing like the few inches of snow we got yesterday in Alberta.

As a rust goddess who lives in South Carolina, I adore what your friends have created. I love the vintage metal garden furniture and all the old wood pieces. Very creative use of the old lamps for lanterns.
