Repurposed Chair Back Two Ways

I was at a friend's one day when I noticed a heap of jazz for free by the road in their yard.  What?  Why didn't you ask me before you stuck a free sign on your junk?  I was slightly put out.  I grabbed these two chairs and they were kind of cute until a squirrel didn't get her share of the nuts or something and ate the seats up.

With a little paint, Gorilla Glue, and old clothes pins, this became a very versatile piece because of that little chalkboard label at the top.  I was going to stencil the word "Family" but then really wanted to make it into a  missing sock board, and just couldn't decide.  Then the chalkboard light bulb went off in my head.  Thank goodness, I still have some electricity now and then.

"Sock" should probably be plural... as there are many pairs looking for their soul mate.  The sock board in my laundry room could use about fifteen more clothes pins, that's for sure.
