So maybe I'm just not real talented, but those words were not easy. Since I wanted it painted on the backside of the glass, this mean writing them backwards! Not a talent of mine. The projector helped, but just barely. I love old windows. :) Click on the windows label below to see other old window ideas! |
I love it! I have a thing for old chippy windows and blinds too! I don't actually have any in my home yet but I'm on the hunt for some!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Too bad you didn't live closer, you could do some "hunting" in my stash! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! I want to buy this. I'm not sure how it would ship though...
ReplyDeleteIf you're willing to wait a month or 2 to get it, no shipping required. :) My mom or sister or someone will probably be coming and I could send it home with them. Just let me know! :)
ReplyDeleteOk, I think a big old window is the solution to my corner fireplace mantel. Where would you suggest I look for some?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm Erica.... I would say Craigslist under the materials category might be a good place to start?? Or if you have an architectural salvage around, but they can be pricey... How about relatives old barns? :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that I found your blog! We are a lot alike!! I am just in the process of painting an old window I found in my barn...it has 8 long rectangles panes, so my idea was to put a day of the week in each and use a dry erase marker to meal plan each week. Just wondering the best way to get the words on the glass? Thanks!
