Large Faux Wood Mirror Before And After

After looking at the same bedroom furniture for over 30 years, my mother in law suddenly snapped and had to get it out IMMEDIATELY!  Well, at least a piece of it.  So she decided the mirror would be the easiest to replace and asked me if I wanted it.  Ummm, YEAH!  Do I ever refuse free stuff?

After painting it black, I used a small brush and dipped it in light blue paint and water and then brushed it on lightly here and there.

I used my finger to blend it in.  A little messy, but it worked good!  Then I put a glaze on it - also here and there, not everywhere.  I've never used glaze before.... that i can remember....  I got a gallon FREE at a garage sale and figured I shouldn't let it go to waste and this was as good a time as any to try it out!  Did I read any directions or anything?  No... probably should have.  But I just painted some on here and there and I'm loving the end results!

Now.... gotta find either a spot for this in my house, or a spot for it on that awesome list of Craig's. :)
