Yes, this was the scene in my craft room only a few days ago. Ripped out carpet, furniture in dissarry, but check out that FAN DOUBLE TASTIC ceiling painted by Miss Debra Lovell!! (She's for hire, by the way!). So what does this have to do with my desk? The ceiling was the inspriation. And since I've been on a harlequin kick anyway these days, I thought it would make this desk awesome - or "sick" as Debra would say. I told her she's a midwestern girl now, sick means" barfing your guts out in a pail", not "wow that is incredible"! (Are you humming Tim McGraw's "Back When" about now?) |
Oh man, those diamonds were awesome! Cant wait to see the finished project!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear it clashed in the end because it was an awesome job! I too love harlequin. Used that stencils on a few tables..
ReplyDeleteShut your mouth! 8$? That's awesome!! Love what you did with it! The diamond pattern on the side is great!
ReplyDeleteOH!! You painted OVER it!? But it was so GORGEOUS!!! Now you have to show us the re-do...

Ohhh Nooo. I loved it! And where on earth did you find a harlequin stencil?!! I love harlequin and have to do them by the old tape and paint method :-/
ReplyDeleteWOW! Ceiling = AWESOME, I've painted a ceiling but it is definitely a pain in the neck, literally. Desk for $8 = Fantastic. Love the little pull-outs above the drawers. What a bummer to have to paint over such a gorgeous piece of work. Can't wait to see the final reveal =)
ReplyDeleteI've done the same thing... once the room comes together it needs another paint job. Thanks for linking up to the PoPP. I'm putting your desk in the Spotlight this weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove this desk, or should I say "loved"!! Oh well, that happens to the best of us-lol-I'm your newest follower-can't wait to see the final product!!
ReplyDeleteOh no!!! Lame that you had to paint over it. It looked great though :)

ReplyDeleteHi there, what a shame you had to repaint it - couldn't you have found another place in your home for it. You did such a great job. I recently found your blog and am now following you. Please pop on over and visit my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. I would love that. Hugs, Chris
