So most of you saw my desk last week. I LOVED IT. But if you remember, it ended up clashing with my curtains (thank you, thank you, Marie for so sweetly sewing those curtains for me! I still need to iron them... no surprise there, I bet!) The desk even got featured on Domestically Speaking! I reeeeally hope I don't disappoint everyone who's waiting to see the newest redo! I sadly painted over all those beautiful green and gray diamonds with a light gray, and then pulled out the letter stencils. Thank heavens for stencils! It's not nearly as "wowing" as the last paint job, however I think it suits my new craft room pretty well and I'm happy with it! So without further ado, here she is:
Here's what she looked like just a few days ago and the pic that so many of you liked (sniffle, sniffle!):
I did keep the green on the front. But nobody will hardly ever see those but me. If you noticed, I also kept the green on the inside. Anyways, what do you think? Too bad it had to change? Or the change is just as good or better? (see original post here) |
I like the new desk! The words look awesome and I think it fits a craft room better :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new look! it is so fun and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's the power of paint, easy to change- even if it's not always a fun thing to do with the first one with diamonds being so cute (and Feature worthy).

I like both desks but the new one definitely matches your curtains better! Visiting from Sister Sunday!

I think I like the new after better. It's less busy and overwhelming! I am super super super loving the peak a boo green!!! I think I'd paint the drawer handles on the front the new light color from the back...and in the center portion that's completely green - paint that like the back and put your favorite inspirational word on that area...or one that means the most to you. It'd give you something more to look at and tie the whole desk in better. It's beautiful, though!
