Barn Wood Photo Collage

I'm terrrrrriiiiiiibbbbbblllleeeeee at updating family photos around the house.  I finally got my rear end in gear, looked through pics of the kids to find my favorites and ordered some 8 x 10 prints  from Wal Mart.  When we fixed up the barn a couple summers ago, we found this square of barn wood all nailed together and perfectly distressed.  I didn't do a THING to it except clean off years of livestock manure and spray it with bug spray.  It had the perfect amount of red, and was totally antique and from my barn!  I'm glad I rescued it from the burn pile- cuz if it had been up to hubby....
I cut long peices of jute rope, tied a knot on one end and then just coiled it around for a rosette.  I used a staple gun to hold it down on one side, then lifted it and used good ole' Elmer's glue to secure the rest of it.
Anyone notice in Ty's picture (right side) is the same old red distressed boards?  I love living on a farm from the 1800's!
