Mom, You Da Bomb. Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mama.  Yeah, everyone says that their mom is the best.  But mine really is. Wanna fight about it?  Just kidding.  But just so ya know I'll win, cuz my mom made us kids tough by doing this like holding our hands behind our backs and making us kiss her feet.  Yeah, so not kididng!  Anyways, she still thinks she's tougher than me but I just let her think so...
There she is - all of 22 years of age with me, her middle child.  Life will NEVER be the same.
Fist up all ready.  You better believe it.  You can tell Mom was a child of the 70's, can't you?
Always a fun mommy.....

And during the week, it's not unusual to find her helping someone - paint brush in hand!  There we are together doing what we do best - painting! :)  Side note:  Mom's Aunt Jan Sluiter (in the wheel chair from ALS) was like a mother to her - she is in Heaven now but Mom always gave her a card on Mother's Day.  Happy Mother's Day, Jan!
Thinkin' we be cool....  oh my
Her and Dad make a crazy pair!
Pretty sure the waiter in Cancun thought it would be funny to spike my non-drinking mother's punch...
Always full speed ahead.  To prove it to ya, she once got stopped for speeding coming to visit me in Michigan from Iowa twice in just a half an hour.  And she can be charming...  she smiled her way out of both!
She hops on the train now and then for the long trip to come visit us!  Doesn't risk speeding tickets that way.
(Tobin, mom, and me)
I'll let you put a caption on that one!  Just leave it in the comments below. :)
A Grandma who gets down on the floor and plays. Can usually  be found either sipping coffee with her Bible open, doing some sort of physical exercise (like wheelies in the picture above), or entertaining.  She will invite anyone over for a meal - first time she's met you or 100th time.  No matter if she has food in the house or not, she will have you!  And if it's not someone from church, it's the kids in the low income apartments who's Daddy is in prison.  And if it's not children from broken homes, it's her next door neighbors who happened to be outside while she's grilling burgers.  She's a wonderful example of the Proverbs 31 woman and I wanna be like her when I grow up!  (No short jokes there, people!)  Thanks mom, for putting up with all my ways and shenanigans.  I have so much fun with you, respect for you, and HATE THAT WE LIVE SEVEN HOURS APART!!!!  Happy Mother's Day!!!!!  And even though these words are hard to get out of me audibly, I REALLY LOVE YOU!!!
