Did you graduate from Dike New Hartford High School?! No? Well Val did, and so did I. And we have something else in common: DIY and "upcyling"!! Today I stole pictures from her personal Facebook page and uploaded them to my blog cuz I just knew you'd all want to see this SUPER cute nursery!
Now I know your eye goes directly to that gorgeous blue and orange. So once you get a load of that ththen take notice of what is the right. The bookshelves on the outside wall of this charming little baby room are made using RAIN GUTTERS! (Such a great idea, whoever first thought of that. If you know, please let me know so I can congratulate their ingeniousness.)
Let's have a peek at how the dresser looked when she bought it off of a for sale group for $50.
Very nice! But just not what she had in mind for little Logan (color-wise at least). |
Just adore these colors! Is anyone else wanting to have another baby now? The needle on a string trick says there's a girl in me yet... too bad that ain't happenin'! |
Another shot of the rain gutter book shelves:
And last but not least: this bright and cheerful end table with the one pig every child needs. :)

I quite literally posted on my facebook wall tonight asking for suggestions for a jewelry box I am going to make over asking for paint ideas to coordinate with the orange fabric I want to use to reline the drawers. This blue is perfect!

ReplyDeleteThose rain gutters made into bookshelves are so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable nursery! The gutters work perfectly for shelves. Well done. However, I am concerned that there are blinds in the room. Cords hazard?
