Stew's! {And The Metal "T" I bought for Ty}

If you live anywhere near Cedar Falls, Iowa,
then there is a new vintage/junk shop that needs to be on your "top five places to visit" next time you're in CF!

Meet 21 year old Emma Steffans,
owner of Stew's:

Here are just a few of the goodies we found inside the garage that is home to Stew's:

My mom and I are
the best junkin' buddies!

Can you tell I loved all the tin scattered around Stew's??

So I came home with a large barn tin "T" for Ty's room.
Really, it'd work for any of my kid's rooms since each of their names begins with a "T".
(Believe it or not, we didn't plan that!)
But since our addition,
Ty's new bedroom had this big blank spot over his bed
that really begged for some rustic decor.

Thanks, Stew's
 It's the perfect touch!

I posted earlier this week about the rustic wood crates I happened upon.
If you'd like to see the "key holder" I made from one of them and the
unbelievable place I found them, click HERE!

  1. Cannot believe that you made it there before I did! That's sad. Obviously, I need to get out of Shell Rock and Waverly more. LOL! Love the "T"! It's the perfect touch!

  2. looks like an amazing shop. Your sons room looks lovely, i think i must visit more of your blog to get some ideas, my youngest son has taken over my studio, and i have done nothing yet...have a lovely weekend..

  3. Awesome metal letter! I love old galvanized roofing. Now I know what I can do with some scraps I have...soon as hubby buys the butylene torch he's eyeing up!

  4. Love the T. Looks great!

  5. So cute--I could do an L fairly easily for my last name. Thanks for the inspiration!

  6. What a lucky little boy to have such a fun room! I LOVE all the storage under the bed! Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
