I recently painted my garage (okay, okay, so the South side is still not done but it's top priority - ha) and I wanted my mom to paint a new scripture verse on the side of the garage since the one she did a couple years ago for me got painted over. She was out to visit a couple weeks ago and so I sweetly convinced her it was of utmost importance to get a new one ASAP. After pouring over lots and lots of verse (I mean, there are only 31,102 of them, shouldn't be too hard to choose, right?) I chose this:
Mom has good penmanship, I do not. Which is why she is the woman for the job. :)
Here's a look at the old one:
The year 2006:
While the garage finally has some landscaping, the real beauty - and work - is just beginning!

2007
2013!!
Yes. She really does dress this cute when she works.
Thrifted shutters I painted yellow add so much to this cute old window!
Made a rag wreath out of old scraps yesterday so the
yellow and aqua could have a little marriage...
Someone else wanted in on the photo shoot,
and is sure everyone in blogland wants to see the bug in her hand!
I think it's an understatement to say I'm so happy the garage finally matches the house rather than looking like another one of the machine sheds. Which I think it probably was in it's previous life anyway. But that was previous, now is the present. Time to get up do date and match the white house with it's aqua and yellow trim that it got last summer! In case you haven't seen it, here's a peek at the front of the house:

Stay tuned for more "beautifying of the garage"
(and other outdoor scariness that was happening around here) posts!
