You'll never guess how much I got these darling metal birds for - just like they are too, no painting or finagling by me at ALL! Dollar General for thirty cents. That's right, kids. Summer stuff was 90% off. Oh how I love end of the season stuff. I bought three. The next day I couldn't believe I only bought three and went back in for the rest. I bought them all.
Yes, you really must have some sort of chicken wire display somewhere in your home. It is perfect with the shabby chic style, rustic look, or even will go with contemporary! It's just plain ole' beautiful stuff.
Did I just call chicken wire beautiful?
Here is the first chicken wire photo display I ever put in my house - it was actually made for me by my friend Maran. You can see the original post here, and read how I gave her the frame and she regifted it back to me... haha. You can do that with good friends, you know. :)
Yes, chicken wire is a must! Mine is on the mantle and its a fun place to display seasonal pictures or the kids recent art work. Totally love the old window frame you used! Looks fantastic.

ReplyDeleteWell your trash piles must be significantly more interesting than mine...all I ever see is piles of old carpet. Sniff. Love how your window turned out, chicken wire is the best!
ReplyDeleteI love chicken wire. I would love to find old windows in a trash pile. That does not happen around here.
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice! I have a project I ahve been despairing of... perhaps chicken wire will be my savior....
