Goodwill Canisters

Each one of these canisters was individually priced at Goodwill.  I wasn't sure I wanted to pay the asking price, but I decided they were worth it.  When I went to pay, I was pleasantly surprised when the cashier told me my total.  I inquired at the good deal and she said she was just glad they were walking out the door...... :)  Me too.

With a good cleaning, some homemade chalk paint, and stenciled numbers, they are as good as new!

I sanded the edges for a distressed look, and sprayed them with a clear varnish for extra protection.  They are all ready for some flour, sugar, coffee, and tea to occupy them.  Who am I kidding?  More like craft supplies!

  1. The canisters look great, Kammy! And what a great idea to put craft supplies in them. I might have to pick some up now just for that reason! :)

  2. I love how these turned out. What is the interior? Would you be afraid to use them with flour & sugar? I don't think I've ever seen wood canisters before, and there you are with two sets.
