We lost power Sunday evening and the estimated time to get it back was Thursday night.
I knew from past experience, that they usually give you worst case scenario and was hoping for at least Tuesday night. Well all the furnace, lights, water and all other things electronic started whirring to life around 4:30 this afternoon. Praise the Lord!! Can't imagine the pain of those who are experiencing the loss of not only homes but even loved ones right now from the Tornado devastation in Illinois. Our prayers are with you!
Funny conversation with my five year old while trying to get ready in the dark for school this morning (don't worry, we live out in the country):
Me: If you go potty DON'T flush the toilet, we don't have any water.
Him: I'll just pee outside.
Me: But it's super windy... that might not be a good idea....
Him: Daddy said since the wind is coming from over there, I just have to walk that way and face the house and I'll be O-KAY!
Was that funny or did it just strike my funny bone this morning as only a Mom without her coffee can have a funny bone struck??
Miss anything from the Korner last week?

Let's see what you've got this week, shall we? First off some beautiful and fun features from last week!
The Post With The Most (views) Up First:
I've never seen a project from Confessions of a Serial DIYer that I didn't like. In fact, I pretty much love every. single. one. This dresser with the fabric inlay is no exception! |
Spittin' Toad turned this little table and chairs set into something darling!! |
Nicer Than New, this chair makeover is the bomb-diggity. |
Please take the time to read through these rules:
1. Your post must be a Trash 2 Treasure, but I'm not picky on the "trash" part!
If you took something and made it look better and it's NEW to Kammy's Korner - link it up, Baby! :)
2. Place the Party button found on the right sidebar on the post or somewhere on your blog.
3. Visit the link before you and leave a comment!
Link up, Buttercup!
Yay! So glad my dresser was a hit...you are always so good to me with your sweet words :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for featuring my chair! Happy to hear you liked it :-)
