Unless you're in the grocery store, there's usually only one section of any store that's worth going to - the clearance section! Yup, that's right. So when I run in to the only place to shop in our town, Dollar General, I usually do a quick glance to see what they need to get rid of. Spring signs! Yeah, since it's the dead of winter, nobody is really thinking of spring. There is white as far as the eye can see. Well actually, maybe it's ALL we're thinking about! Wishing, hoping, looooonging to be able to say "Happy Springtime!" Anyways, these cute metal spring time signs were a whole thirty cents. I snatched up a few and gave this one several coats of white chalk paint. It took several to cover the pretty flower picture!
Then I whipped out my awesome owl stencil, and new letter stencils from JoAnn's.
I didn't mean to replace the black metal hanger, but I misplaced one of the little loops, and if something disappears in my craft room, you might not see it for years. The twin jute adds a little rustic feel to it and was the perfect solution. Man I love that stuff.
My seven year old has always loved a play on words, so he got the biggest kick ever out of "Owl Always Love You". Best noise in the world is the laughter of your own little flesh and blood kidlets. I'm glad this made him laugh. :)
