I was at a loss as to what to title this post. The medicine cabinet takes a permanent vacation? Rescued and reused as a toilet paper house? Plain ole' before and after medicine cabinet? Whatever. It came out of the scary bathroom, and anything that came out of there I was actually just going to direct it straight to the burn pile. I circled it in bright red just so you don't miss it amidst all the skit skat happening in this bathroom:
My mom convinced me to take a second look at it. Yeah. I guess it was pretty good quality. And even had a mirror inside it! Okay... so maybe I can sell it, I thought. Then what I was planning on putting over the toilet in my half bath didn't pan out and I was thankful I had this thing still hanging around. It was perfect.
Armed with some DIY chalk paint in a mistint color I picked up and my over-used, gunked up stencils, I set to work:
I thought about putting some fancy little knobs on, but this latch is just too quaint.
And before you roll your eyes at another one of those idiots who doesn't finish the letters in the stencils by painting those "cracks"... These days? Ain't nobody got time for 'dat! :)
what a great idea!!! love it:)
ReplyDeleteps. kisses from Poland:*
