This is not a spectacular project by any means that I'm sharing with you today. But I needed something to blog about. Ain't that the truth! Well, okay so I know you all really want to see cool things like my new "Barble" and the wall that came down and my new sunroom and all that crazy life changing stuff but you know what?!!! Who has time to clean, stage, photograph and write detailed blog posts like that? Maybe next week. Or month...
But hey, this is kinda cute...
There was a time in my life, back when I was in my twenties and thought I had the world by it's ratty tail, that I would buy just about anything under a dollar at a garage sale. I could do SOMETHING WITH IT. And probably resell it - of course. That's just the way my brain thinks. So I came across this once and picked it up for a few quarters. It's been moved from this barn to that barn and it's never done anything but collect cobwebs and dodge getting taken to the scrap yard.
Until this summer.
Out came the dark bronze hammered spray paint that I've been using on way too many things lately...
Pretty much anything can be a planter. Just "Pinterest" that and see if I ain't right.
I ripped the labels off some old paint cans and they were black underneath. Sweet diggity dog.
Add some dirt, flowers, and a chevron burlap strip and hog dot (bahahaha, that was supposed to be hot dog but it's too funny to change) you got something cuter than a terracotta pot!
Yes, I realize if I watered my petunias every day they'd probably be more photogenic...
Maybe if I could get people to come to the front door instead of the back door, side door, other side door, other side door, other side door, or OTHER SIDE DOOOOOOOR.... they would see my nice little "Please Ring Bell" sign so we could put that doorbell we installed to good use.
Huh, what's that? You like that stenciled rug? Click HERE to see how you can easily do that to a cheap ugly floor mat too!

I love it! Spray paint can do wonders, and those paint cans turned out beautiful! I can't see anything wrong with your petunias, by the way...
