Vintage Suitcase End Table

I really don't feel like this blog post needs any additional information.  The pictures say it all, right?  Get some old suitcases at your local thrift store (or if you're lucky like me, find them for A QUARTER at a garage sale) and stack them up.  Largest on the bottom, smallest on the top.  Kinda like when we made human pyramids as a kid.  Big dudes on the bottom, scrawny rascals on top. I was always the scrawny rascal on top.  Loudest mouth, littlest body.

 Pretty elementary.
 Like me.

It seems to work great with the flow of this room because all of the furniture has the open-leg thing goin' on and the end table needed to be something chunky and solid.  Bingo.

Add to the stack a book and the big piece of coral I bought off of some old dude on a Mexican beach and you've got a designer look.  Not that I'm any where near an authority on designer looks... ;)

  2. I love this idea. I have a few but they need to be more cohesive and organized. I'm pinning for a future project. Need to work on this!! Thanks for the inspiration.
