treasure from a trailer park

Stopped in to a garage sale one day in a run down trailer park.  The toothless gentleman was extremely friendly.  I was about to leave when I noticed this shelf sitting off by itself.  Is that for sale?  Sure, take it for fifty cents.  It just needed a good cleaning, some more cleaning, and paint.  I used a stencil to add some detail on the edge and finished by covering it in polyurathane.  It went up for sale for $25 but there were no takers.  I'm glad.  It was just what I needed when I redecorated my dining room!  So think twice before you poo poo trailer park garage sales!
