Lately I've been inventing my soups using a can of Progresso as a springboard, or for inspiration, you might say. This is very easy to do. Take a soup (on sale and with a coupon of course) off the grocery store shelf , like a chowder, and build on it. Here's one of my Hubby's favorites, using a can of Progresso Chicken Corn Chowder as a "starter".
Creamy Ham and Corn Chowder
1 can Progresso Chicken Corn Chowder
1 brick cream cheese
1 can creamed style corn
2 cups of chopped up ham
1 cup milk
optional additions: broccoli, celery, carrots, potatoes
warning: this is a very rich tasting soup. You can tone it down with a little more milk if need be.
