Tobin is ALWAYS wanting a "job". So I put him to work scraping off the hideous finish on top. |
After painting the desk black, I used this stencil on the drawers. I also gave the drawer pulls several coats of silver spray paint. |
Annnnnnd, I finished it yesterday! Woo hoo!! If you recall my freebie desk that was featured on BetterAfter, this is the exact opposite with the same color/pattern scheme! That was white with black stenciling. Click HERE to see it! Have a great weekend and..... Don't forget that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!!! CLICK HERE TO ENTER!!!! |
Wow Wish I had your energy. You have been a busy girl with all your projects. The desk does look wonderful though, as well as your chair and lamp.
ReplyDeleteWow! I totally expected that to be a Mod Podge craft paper application on the drawers. Your stencil skills are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mississippi Artist! :) You're always so sweet!
ReplyDeletePJ - I can't get the hang of Mod Podge at ALL!!! So I stencil because I can't do anything else! haha!
GREAT redo! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love this! You must have a lot of patience for that stencilling. But you've done an amazing job! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the stencil you added to the desk! That adds so much. Great job as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Terrific Under Ten!
Your desk turned lovely. Really appreciate you sharing this great post with us at the Creative Bloggers' Party & Hop :)
ReplyDeleteA question for you...is the "top finish" a different material than the rest of the desk? I just bought a wood dresser that has some type of finish on top..maybe laminate? I love the idea of just scraping it off. Your thoughts???? PS. Where do I find me such a cute helper?! :)
