Want to make a statement? Quit doing white ceilings. And if you really want to make a statement, don't just paint them one color! (But that works too). |
This design is thanks to Debra Lovell, aka my craft room designer and partner in crafty crime. It sorta looks like the green stripe is on the wall, but no, it's on the ceiling. |
The chandelier came from my favorite resale shop, the ginormous Jackson Resale Factory. I think it was $12. Of course it wasn't red when I picked it up.... but I just so happened to have some red spray paint for Debra to use on it. That's one thing you should always have on hand, right along with a good pair of scissors. Red spray paint! |
How about it? Got an out-of-the-white-norm ceiling in your house?!!! Check out other ceilings in my house: |
What a great idea. They did used to wall paper ceilings back in the day. Wall Paper party any one?
ReplyDeleteKammy! This is fantastic! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! (Especially the paintable wallpaper. he he he). I think your little "mistake" turned into an actual blessing because it really makes that chandelier pop! Its like a DIY ceiling medallion! LOVE IT! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI spray painted my chandelier too but it was oil rubbed bronze instead of red. I'll have to send you a picture. Great job once again! Whenever I want to be creative, I think, "what would Kammy do?"
