Trash 2 Treasure Tuesday

Hi!  My dear, sweet, crazy, uber-ambitious mom has gone back to Iowa.  We got LOTS of projects done and the one I blogged on a few days ago has started to hit Pinterest hard (well, my standards are rather low, ha) and I'm so excited!!  So if you didn't have a chance to check out my old dresser drawer window boxes, you can see them HERE.   I can't wait to share all the other fun stuff we did together!  I hate it that she lives seven hours away......  we make the best team.  And I would give anything to be able to call her up in the morning and say, come on over for a cup of Joe and flower planting.  Or turning old curtains into skirts.  Or painting desks.  Or some barn organization.... you get the point.  Now ON TO THE PARTY!!!

A RUG!  She used a RUG!  Love it!!!!  Courtney from A Little Glass Box has got a snazzylicious (in her words) bench you should check out if you didn't see it last week.

Kim from Made In A Day painted this with her own homemade chalk paint.  Now I'm a huge fan of homemade chalk paint using Plaster of Paris also, however I've never seen her take on it with adding hot water to the mix!  Looks great and maybe I'll try her recipe out next time. :)
