I can't believe it. I missed my Trash 2 Treasure Tuesday party for the very first time in almost a year. I have a good excuse however. I was in the wonderful farm state of Iowa for the funeral of a wonderful man. We also got to spend a morning with my big farmer uncles harvesting beans. More on that later as I have some things I'd love to share with you, but I'm not ready for that yet!
It's a crisp, clean look to the have the wreath wrapped. But it takes a lot more fabric and maybe you're going for a more rustic look. Let's take a look at the difference so you can decide what look you like before you decide to make your own rag wreath!I grab any used wreaths I can get my hands on if they're under $2. These looked like handmade twig wreathes, possibly made from sticks or branches from a willow tree. |
This is what I mean by tying it around once and not making the complete knot. Just do this all the way around the wreath with strips of fabric and you have yourself a very shabby, adorable SUPER-EASY wreath!! (You can see how the green one turned out HERE).
So which look do you prefer? The unwrapped wreath on the left or the wrapped wreath on the right? |
I like the wrapped on on this one and the unwrapped on the green one. I am glad you are ok. You haven't posted for awhile and I was worried about you!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the one on the right with the green striped fabric. I like how both of them are just fresh and simple looking though.
ReplyDeleteGotta say the wrapped one. But, I'm anal like that. ;) Sorry I missed you while you were here. All my plans... Poof! Gone! That's what happens when you have coughing, hacking, feverish, vomiting people around the house. Good thing we didn't plan on it because then we would have infected you and you would have taken it back home with you! Hopefully next time!!
ReplyDeleteThese are just adorable!!! I guess I've never seen one done quite like this before! LOVE! I think I'm having wreath envy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kammy!
Tammy
I vote wrapped! Love them both though :)
ReplyDeleteJust pinned this. I like the look of the wrapped wreath better; but they both look great. This really looks like a great easy beautiful project. It's on my list for Spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Love your wreaths! I like the wrapped one a bit more but they are both cute and clever. You've reminded me that our Saint Vinny's has wreaths...time for a shopping trip!
