Waterfall Desk Before and After

I'll bet you a gallon of Valspar paint you ain't got neighbors like I got!!  One Sunday, me and my fam were sitting on the patio enjoying our lunch when the neighbors pull in and say they picked up some furniture for me at an auction.  They unloaded a few desks and then had to go back and get the rest!!  Told you you didn't have neighbor's like mine!  So this desk was $5.  I LOVE the old waterfall style!

Tobin is ALWAYS wanting a "job".  So I put him to work scraping off the hideous finish on top.

After painting the desk black, I used this stencil on the drawers.  I also gave the drawer pulls several coats of silver spray paint.
Annnnnnd, I finished it yesterday!  Woo hoo!!  If you recall my freebie desk that was featured on BetterAfter, this is the exact opposite with the same color/pattern scheme!  That was white with black stenciling.  Click HERE to see it!  Have a great weekend and..... Don't forget that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!!!  CLICK HERE TO ENTER!!!!

  1. Wow Wish I had your energy. You have been a busy girl with all your projects. The desk does look wonderful though, as well as your chair and lamp.

  7. A question for you...is the "top finish" a different material than the rest of the desk? I just bought a wood dresser that has some type of finish on top..maybe laminate? I love the idea of just scraping it off. Your thoughts???? PS. Where do I find me such a cute helper?! :)
