I was lucky enough to stumble across a HUGE bag of sisal jute twine ROPE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT at a Saint Vincent De Paul once (I still don't know the difference between all those but I KNOW there's gotta be one so if someone can help a girl out...). It's like the widow's barrel of oil in the old testament that never ran out - but I know I'm probably nearing the end. I've used it for everything.
I love making hearts out of it and embellishing signs, so today I'm going to show you how to easily make your own!
All you need:
thick fabric
scissors
jute
hot glue gun
1. Cut a heart out of your thick fabric:
2. Using your hot glue gun, begin gluing the rope around the edge
4. Keep gluing around the inside of your heart.
5. Snip the umbilical cord and put a drop of glue on the end and squish it down in the middle.
Sometimes it won't come out exactly even - just cut off a little piece and fill it in wherever the space is. It will blend right in. :)
Now you can just put some wood glue on the back of your heart and add it to whatever! A wreath, a Sign, a pillow, your goat, go crazy! :)
Like it? Pin it! :)
