| It's had many looks. This is it's present condition, in my mom's house. (have you noticed we got lots of projects done while I was back "home" in Iowa? There's still plenty more to come... she gave me quite a few things to blog about!) |

| When I was vising this summer I managed to get the legs painted black and the old upholstery off, but that's as far as I got. My mom covered it with this tan fabric, which is fine.... but just a little too.... boring?? |

| So I decided to paint a zebra pattern on it with my newly purchased zebra stencil from Hobby Lobby (thanks for the gift card, MOM!!!!!) |

| I accidently used oil based paint. I ended up wearing rubber gloves. Man do I hate that stuff. |

Man, that stool has a story to tell! I loved seeing all the different looks through the years. And (I know it's crazy) but this zebra stripe is by far my favorite. :)

ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! I had to laugh at the "Then came the forest green and burgundy of the 90's....." because it's so true! We used to have forest green wall paper with burgundy flowers!
