I found this picture over on A Rosie Sweet Home and she really did a GREAT job transforming her little wooden equine species. She even shares a great tutorial on how to makeover an antique wooden rocking horse! |
In fact, she kind of puts my quick little makeover to shame! But here it is: |
I added Plaster of Paris to my white paint for a little DIY chalk paint action, gave it a few coats and then sanded it smooth. I had an old feedsack that I cut a strip from and tied around his neck for a fun little touch. His head was a little wobbly and I wasn't sure how to fix it. I hopped on him and rocked him so he was sturdy even if his head turned a little! Click HERE to see the brown and green one I painted last year. |
Your horse looks great! Thanks for sharing this post with me and for the great plug for my blog. Hope you have a great day!
